Multidisciplinary
Artist & Storyteller.
Sariena Luy is a Second-Generation Cambodian-Canadian Christian multidisciplinary creative producer and the founder / Executive Director of the Flaunt It Movement & Collection. She is an Artistic Activist, Creative Entrepreneur and Community Organizer that was born and raised in one of Toronto's low-income communities. From a film school background into a humanities degree, Sariena believes in using the arts to create social change and to represent the complexity of intersectional and transnational identities. She values working with priority communities and sharing opportunities with youth to excel in their endeavours.
With over ten years of training, Sariena has been hustling in the industry since 2015. Her creative direction skills lie in film, photography, graphic design and event curation. Her intensive work background includes experience in direction, production and editing films, editorials, branding kits, and exhibits. Sariena has worked with organizations such as RBC, Success Beyond Limits, The Remix Project, TIFF Next Wave, TDSB, H&M, Adobe, Civic Action, Mass Culture and more.
Through her artistic activism, she creates content for women empowerment initiatives, underserved youth, mad studies advocacy, and representing her Cambodian diaspora in Transnational Disability Studies. As an avid-lover of the arts, Sariena is passionate about dance, music, and spoken word as well. Nevertheless, she is a businesswoman, academic, community organizer and mentor that amplifies marginalized voices.
